Greetings participating delegates and faculties,

 

It is with immense pleasure and anticipation of great magnitude that I, as Convener, invite you to partake in the most scintillating debates and deliberations that the fifth edition of Sanawar Model United Nations has to offer in its offline conference in August this year.

 

We at Sanawar have been conditioned to exemplify ideals of accountability and coexistence flawlessly. As Sanawarians, we believe that it is these elements that instil in us truly a sense of order and civilisation and taking into recollection Plato’s distinctive yet equally exceptional words, “There is nothing so delightful as the hearing, or the speaking of truth. For this reason, there is no conversation so agreeable as that of the man of integrity, who hears without any intention to betray, and speaks without any intention to deceive.”, incorporating the three into the theme for the year’s conference ‘Accountability. Integrity. Co-existence.’ seemed but natural.

 

Through this edition of SNAMUN, we aim to integrate the teachings of both our institution and the United Nations Organisation at large - which I believe we as delegates, past and present, hold in the highest regard - to triumphantly forge a conference that you can see as being entirely fruitful.

 

As the world continues to make its recovery from the ever-destroying virus, using SNAMUN as our beacon of hope, I, along with the rest of the Secretariat, wish to sculpt it into an agency of retreat from a period marked by extensive dispute, darkness and moral digression to aid our communities in returning to a time of peace, development and harmony. With the help of the abundant opportunities for debate, analysis, problem-solving and documentation that the committees present the delegates with, we, with your fervent support, confidence and unfaltering rigour, wish to make this conference and your journey through it a successful one.

 

Needless to say and yet worthy of being said nevertheless, we are most glad to have been given the privilege to convene the conference on campus this year, on the ever-pulchritudinous hilltop that we most proudly and lovingly call Sanawar and are affirmative that SNAMUN will become an unforgettable experience for its participants.

 

As your Convener, I take this opportunity to once again welcome you all to the campus on the occasion of SNAMUN'22 as we also celebrate the dodransbicentennial anniversary of our lovely home away from home. I wholeheartedly and excitedly await your safe arrival at Green Gate.
